Mannheim!

Let me tell you about my day. I wanted to sleep in as long as possible then take the bus to Sinsheim and do nothing! Just take my camera, get a coffee, and explore the city at my own pace. Turns out all the stores close for the day around 12 or 1. It's a German thing. So...I didn't make it. Then came Jasmin to the rescue. She needed to go into the big city of Mannheim today (where the stores are open until 8!) and get ski stuff for the girls. I hitched a ride and spent the day exploring Mannheim instead! It was beautiful. Even though it was rainy and cold, I loved walking around. I discovered my favorite store so far in Germany. It's called Vertigo and has the most amazing and original clothes (especially adorable sweaters) and shoes. And, I successfully made my way home on the train and bus. Turns out there's a button on those crazy ticket machines that makes them speak English. Europe, here I come...
