Wochenende (weekend!)

What a week! I passed my au pair test on Wednesday. It was nothing like I expected. The woman at the office was super nice and just wanted to know some basic things about my work with the host family and if I could find my way home if I got lost. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of experience getting lost and finding my way again. The "test" only lasted a few minutes then Jasmin and I got a coffee and pastry on our way back home. Oh! We also stopped at the veggie stand where I got 3 cute little cacti. They make me happy.



Thursday was kind of crazy. I missed my bus (I'm sure it came early ;) and had to wait 45 minutes for the next one..the one that takes the extra scenic route. When I finally got to class my teacher told me that my host family has been trying to call me. Turned out Tira had a rash and couldn't go to kindergarten. So I turned right back around and got on the next bus home. We watched a Pippi Longstocking movie (one of our favorite books) and played all morning and afternoon.


And...today was my last day of German class. Apart from the fact that it was a lot of work and made my day very long, I enjoyed it. I met some wonderful people and learned a lot. I look forward to having a more relaxed schedule...I'm thinking about taking a yoga or pilates class next. Or maybe pottery or knitting...
